Watercolor Iris - Stamping Nail Art

Craving some more floral nail art? Hope so; as it seems to be the theme here lately. I don't know about you, but I find flowers full of wonder. Take for example, the iris -- the shapes of the blooms are fascinating, aren't they?! I love a flower that comes in so many colors. Even the leaves are pretty cool.

Queen For A Day

Stamping stamps on my nails as a tribute to my Grammie on Mother's Day.

Although I'm not sure she would have labeled herself as a philatelist, Grammie enjoyed stamp collecting; and I caught the bug as a kid because she shared her hobby with me. We had lots of fun visiting together while cataloging her stamps. Though, if she were still with us - she'd be quick to tell you that I have very dangerous sneezes! There was one day when we had loose stamps placed in sorting order covering the entire length of the table...until they all went flying because of my need to suddenly expel lots of air from my body. It's involuntary!! Not my fault!!

Anyways....Happy Belated Mother's Day to all of the Moms reading this who have had moments when their children and/or grandchildren have caused them similar frustrations. ;)

A Snowy Night - Drag Marble Nail Art Featuring Supernatural Power by Madam Glam

During my childhood, my Nono often told a story that had interchanging subjects, but it always started with the lines, "The night was dark and dreary." Believe it or not, these were always good stories, full of wonder and imagination. It is quite possible that you'll need similar imagination to see this nail art design as the snowflake pattern that I attempted to create by drag marbling gels.

Regardless, I hope you'll enjoy reading this post, no matter whether you see them as snowflakes that are melting...or maybe as fireworks....or just abstract designs.

Pink Snow Penguin

Some things you just have to get out of your system. For me, I *had* to put snowflakes on my nails before we run out of Winter. I can't say for sure if this will be the last time or not...I guess you could say I'm as predictable as the weather.

Looking for some nail art inspiration? I might spur an idea or two for you with this post. Contrary to the lengthy title above, in short I called this my "Theme of the Month" series.

It's super exciting to see all twelve months' designs together!! Although it wasn't intended, it's also rewarding to see the improvement in my nail care and art over the course of the series....which took me 2+ years to complete...oops. Better late than never, I say. Anyways, now when looking them over I am inspired to keep the progress going. I hope it is inspiring you too!
